Martin County Provides CARES Funding to Child Care Providers
The Early Learning Coalition of Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee Counties has exciting news for Martin County providers. The Martin County Board of County Commissioners through the Early Learning Coalition is distributing CARES funding to all eligible early learning/child care providers in Martin County. The funding amount received will be based on the licensed capacity of the center or family child care home. The purpose of this funding is to assist Martin County Providers with COVID-19 related expenses. Eligible expenses must be used for additional, unbudgeted expenses that are a result of COVID-19 and not paid for with any other federal funds or other funding source.
Acceptable expenditures include:
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Disinfecting supplies (wipes, hand sanitizer)
• Employee Payroll
• Assistance to parents (scholarships and discounts)
• Cleaning services
• Other COVID-19 related expenses
Early Learning programs much be located in Martin County to be considered for funding. Please complete the funding application by 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 12th. If you are not contracted with the Coalition, please submit a W-9 and direct deposit form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
